Workshops on Knowledge Valorisation: Needs and Incentives in Emilia-Romagna
On September 26, 2024, our partner ART-ER hosted the workshop “Knowledge Valorisation: Needs and Incentives for the Emilia-Romagna Ecosystem” at the BIS Hall in Bologna.
The workshop marked a key moment in the CO-VALUE project, concluding the assessment phase focused on emerging needs for citizen engagement in research results.
The workshop started with a short overview, presented by ART-ER and Fondazione Giannino Bassetti, of the progress made within CO-VALUE. Then, participants were engaged in interactive activities designed on purpose to gather insights, experiences, and suggestions on innovation, societal needs, and incentives for a better involvement of society in knowledge valorisation processes.
During the group sessions, valuable suggestions emerged, highlighting the importance of strengthening the relationship between the research community and citizens. A key focus was on the need to develop skills for managing public engagement pathways to facilitate better communication and cooperation between these groups.
The workshop represented another step forward in building a stronger, more inclusive ecosystem in Emilia-Romagna, where co-valorisation can thrive, supported by greater citizen involvement and well-structured engagement strategies.
