On April 30, CO-VALUE was presented at the final conference of the ACCTING project, “Empowering Change: Building a Fair and Inclusive Green Deal”, held at La Tricoterie in Brussels. The event brought together a diverse audience of civil society organisations, NGOs, policymakers, and researchers dedicated to advancing a just and inclusive ecological transition. 

Representing CO-VALUE, Esteban Pelayo shared the project’s innovative approach to embedding citizen participation in research and innovation. He highlighted practical tools and methodologies developed through CO-VALUE, demonstrating how the inclusion of citizens in innovation processes leads to more socially responsive and sustainable outcomes. 

The conference sessions focused on key challenges such as engaging vulnerable communities, managing common resources, and strengthening cross-sector collaboration. A keynote speech by Tunç Soyer, former Mayor of Izmir, reinforced the importance of inclusive governance in addressing global transitions.
