Highlights from the CO-VALUE Kick-off Meeting
During the kick-off meeting on February 22 and 23, the consortium launched the CO-VALUE project, marking the beginning of a European initiative aimed at strengthening the role of citizens in knowledge valorisation. Partners engaged in insightful discussions and shared valuable insights on various aspects of knowledge valorisation and citizen engagement.
Each partner shared their respective activities within CO-VALUE, identifying their strengths, their current barriers and the positive impact they can generate through the project.
Maria Carvalho Dias, Policy Officer from the European Research Area (ERA), highlighted the significance of effective communication and dissemination in maximising the impact of CO-VALUE project. Moreover, sher underscored, the importance of implementing a strong communication and dissemination strategy when involving citizens in co-design processes.
Stickydot and Fondazione Giannino Bassetti shared with all partners their valuable case study examples regarding citizen engagement, methodologies of co-creation, co-design and incentives. This led to an in-depth discussion among all partners, fostering a comprehensive exploration of the topic. The meeting also explored strategies for mobilising the R&I ecosystem and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders to drive knowledge valorisation initiatives.
